Have you ever had a zit, or an oozing wound appear out of nowhere — and thought, “What the heck is this now?” You’re not alone. And here’s the truth most people don’t hear:
It’s not infection. It’s your body healing.
At Casa Up Your Vibe, we see every scab, bump, and red patch through the lens of Germanic Healing Knowledge (GHK) — where symptoms are not mistakes but brilliant biological programs. Even when they’re messy.
Let’s demystify what your skin might be saying.
When the Skin Speaks, Listen.
The crust, ooze, or itch you feel? That’s not your body failing — it’s your body repairing. Skin symptoms follow a natural rhythm:
Separation Conflict → Resolution → Regeneration.
This is especially true for the deeper layers of skin (the dermis), which are tied to feelings of more intense separation conflicts: being soiled, attacked, or violated--"hits deeper!"
What Causes These So-called “Random” Wounds?
They’re not random. They’re biological responses to events that feel like attacks or being soiled.
Deanna's Real-Life Examples:
Cleaning a toilet and getting splashed in the face — deep zit is felt from deep and takes days to surface.
Playing with a baby who pinches/scratches roughly — the next morning usually there they are~acne exactly in the spots of being attacked.
A woman experiences a needle biopsy as an attack — months/years later, skin erupts as it heals.
Being teased by a partner about a sensitive word — rib tissue responds and oozes (a figurative attack!!!!)

Intense pain of healing symptoms can create another attack conflict... So use tools to lessen pain and be prepared to honor and praise the pain!
The body usually offer no clues until the healing phase begins. Unless the conflict goes on and on...
So make conflicts short! Resolve life situations sooner than later!
The 4 Phases of Wound Healing (The GHK Way):
1. Conflict Active Phase (CA):
The psyche (your subconscious) perceives something as dirty, invasive, or attacking. The body responds by ulcerating the tissue involved either the epdermis or the dermis (often without symptoms). If this conflict goes on for a while or is intense, you may feel numb at the site or may notice your skin is dry and flaky or even ulcerates and opens up.
2. Healing Phase A (PCL-A):
Once the conflict is resolved, swelling, redness, and pain show up. The surgeons, aka microbes begins to rebuild. Fluid and blood may start to ooze.
3. Epileptoid Crisis (Peak of Healing):
A sudden, intense wave — pain, pressure, oozing and sometimes blood. Think of it as the storm before the calm. Crusts start to form as a protective seal~the original band-aid. The length and duration of the stress phase determines how much repair needs to be done, thus how intense the symptoms will be. Hence why we resolve things sooner than later.
4. Healing Phase B (PCL-B):
Swelling subsides. Crust remains and will blacken. The tissue heals from outside in... Still itchy and goes in phases....PROTECT THE SITE!!! Crusts flake off. Skin over time returns to balance.
Crust On or Crust Off?
This is the number one question I get.
Here’s the deal:
Crust = Nature’s Bandage.
Picking = Re-traumatizing.
Oozing = Lymph & repair fluid doing their job.
If a crust gets soggy or painful, try a salt water soak to soften it without force.
Ocean Wisdom:
The sea is sacred medicine — cleansing, soothing, and gentle. If you have access, wade in. Let the salt, movement, and light do their magic.
What Helps? The Wild Woman’s Apothecary:
🌊 Salt Water Rinse/Soak (1 tsp salt per cup warm water)
🌼 Herbal Infusions — Calendula, Chamomile, Yarrow
🍯 Manuka Honey — Antibacterial & soothing--make sure this does not feel yucky to you!
🌱 Plantain or Comfrey Salve — Regenerating skin support
☀️ Sunshine & Fresh Air — Nature’s original medicine
Don’t Forget the Emotional Layer
Skin healing often mirrors deeper emotional shifts:
Old shame or boundary violations
Medical appointments that triggered fear
Dreams and memories bubbling to the surface
Ask yourself:“What did this wound come to teach me?”
A Blessing for the Healing Skin
“I honor this skin as sacred ground. This is not a flaw, this is a sign. I am not broken — I am healing. And I trust the pace of my body, my story, and my soul. Thank you body!”
Whether it’s a zit, a rash, or a deep crusty mystery — your body is speaking. When we stop judging and start understanding and most importantly listening & trusting, healing becomes magical and miraculous.
