The House That Healed Me (And Now You)

Welcome to Casa Up Your Vibe – where old walls hold new wisdom.
I was the youngest of five, raised in this very house.
There was a lot of fighting… and most often, I felt like the one caught in the crossfire.
As a child, I didn’t have the words for it, but I longed for something different.
Something calmer. Safer. More peaceful.
It started with a whisper — a quiet vision in my heart, long before I knew the how.
Fifteen years ago, the words "House of Healing" came to me. Then, "Up Your Vibe" followed.
I almost had that house... and then "bam" — life took a turn.
But the vision never left.
I held onto the dream of a space filled with light, laughter, and learning —
a place where people wouldn’t come to escape their lives,
but to fully step into them — healed, empowered, alive.
Back then, the dream felt both wild and inevitable.
Fast forward through years of parenting, child care and advocacy, elder care, many heartbreaks, and so many more awakenings —
and then I discovered German New Medicine (GNM), also known as Germanic Healing Knowledge (GHK).
That whisper? It got louder. Clearer. "Unignorable."
Then came the opportunity to buy my childhood home…
and that same whisper roared: “It’s time.”
But with the keys in hand came a new realization:
Before this house could hold healing, it needed some of its own —
a little TLC… and maybe even an exorcism.
(Some of my clients have said the same about themselves!)
Renovating this old house was not for the faint of heart.
There were nights I collapsed from exhaustion,
and days I stood within the gutted rooms wondering what I’d gotten myself into.
But deep down, I knew: this was bigger than tile and lumber.
This was about healing — not just the house, but me.
And someday… "you."
Every ceiling board I burned, scraped, and colored, every stone I laid, every swipe of the paint brush—
was infused with love and intention and a little silliness.
"Love" Red for the Trim around the windows
"Itsy bitsy bikini" yellow for the exterior :)
"Perfect Harmony" Purple for the kitchen walls
Just like our bodies, the house had stories to tell.
Some walls had to come down. The wiring was outdated.
The bones were strong, but needed to be inspected and upgraded.
(And oh, the treasures tucked under that old plaster.)
That’s exactly how healing works. This home was becoming what I had felt in my heart:
a safe, sacred, but fun, high-vibe space to unravel and heal.
The Vision of the 6-Year-Old Deanna
Recently, during the renovation of my childhood bedroom —
walls coming down, old memories rising up —
I uncovered something that stopped me in my tracks:
the word “Peace," imprinted in the plaster,
penned in my own tiny 6- or 7-year-old handwriting.

I had written it there, over 50 years ago.
Even then, little Deanna knew — she longed for peace.
As I sat on the floor beside a pile of plaster,
deeply sobbing, remembering, and letting go…
I held the small piece of plaster with "peace" in my hands,
and felt the original feeling and energy rise and fill the room.
I think the room and I finally both exhaled.
Now, nearly complete after this "accidental total renovation," of this 2 story 4 bedroom home,
I present Casa Up Your Vibe to be a place where "you" can exhale too.
When someone walks into Casa Up Your Vibe now, I see it immediately:
their shoulders drop, their breath deepens.
Something softens. Something opens.
That’s the magic.
Because healing doesn’t have to happen in a sterile office or under fluorescent lights.
It can happen barefoot in the kitchen, laughing by the fire,
or out on a trail with pine needles underfoot.
It Will Happen Here — With Our "Up Your Vibe Retreats"
We’ll talk about your symptoms — not with fear, but with curiosity and clarity.
We’ll trace them back to the moment they began
and decode what your body is brilliantly trying to tell you.
We’ll piece together your story and find the freedom in understanding it.
All while we make and eat good food together.
We’ll get out into nature.
We’ll cry if we need to — and yes, we’ll definitely laugh.
And you won’t be alone.
You’ll connect with others walking this same path —
people who "get it", who are asking the same questions,
who want to feel better and live freer.
That feeling of “Finally… I knew this all along and someone understands me” —
that’s part of the healing too.
By the time you head home, you won’t just feel clearer about your health —
you’ll feel clearer about "you.
So if you’ve been searching — for answers, for peace, for a new path…
Come to the Adirondacks. Come to my home. Come home to your miraculous self.
Because this isn’t just a retreat.
It’s a rebirth.
It’s time to "breathe" and finally find "peace."
