The House That Healed Me (And Now You)

Updated: Apr 10

Welcome to the Sanctuary of the Inner Song — where old walls now hold new wisdom.

I was the youngest of five, raised in this very house.

There was a lot of fighting…

and more often than not, I felt like the one caught in the middle.

I found myself retreating to nature—my place of safety.

As a child, I didn’t have the words for it…

but I longed for something different.

Something calmer.

Safer.

More peaceful.

It began as a whisper…

A quiet vision in my heart, long before I knew how it would come to life.

Fifteen years ago, the words came to me:

“House of Healing.”

And then, shortly after…

“Up Your Vibe.”

For a moment, it felt like it was all about to happen.

And then…

life took a different turn.

But the vision never left.

I held onto the dream of a space filled with light, laughter, and learning—

A place where people wouldn’t come to escape their lives…

but to fully step into them—

clearer, grounded, and alive.

Back then, the dream felt both wild…

and inevitable.

Years passed.

Parenting.

Caregiving.

Heartbreak.

Growth.

Awakenings layered upon awakenings.

And then I discovered Germanic Healing Knowledge.

That whisper?

It became clearer.

Stronger.

Impossible to ignore.

Then the opportunity came…

to buy my childhood home.

And that same voice returned—

“It’s time.”

But with the keys in hand came a deeper realization:

Before this house could hold healing…

it needed some of its own.

A little care.

A lot of love.

And yes… maybe even a clearing of old energy.

(Some of my clients have said the same about themselves.)

Renovating this home was not easy.

There were nights I collapsed from exhaustion.

Days I stood in unfinished rooms wondering what I had taken on.

But deep down, I knew…

This was never just about the house.

It was about healing.

Not just the structure…

But myself.

And someday…

you.

Every ceiling board I restored,

every stone placed,

every brushstroke of color—

was infused with intention.

And a little bit of joy.

“Love” red around the windows.

A playful yellow on the exterior.“

Perfect Harmony” in the kitchen.

Because just like our bodies…

this house had a story.

The walls needed to come down.

The systems needed updating.

Even the original wiring had to be reworked.

And yet…

the foundation remained.

Strong. Steady. Holding it all.

Built in 1889 by the owner of the local mill, this home was one of the first—and largest—on Porcupine Hill.

It once represented structure, responsibility, and a life shaped by the demands of that time.

And now…

it holds something entirely different.

Beneath the layers, there were hidden pieces waiting to be uncovered—

just like within us.

During the renovation of my childhood bedroom…

something unexpected appeared.

As the walls came down and the old layers revealed themselves—

I found the word:

“Peace.”

Written in my own small handwriting.

Even then…

I knew what I longed for.

I sat on the floor, holding that piece of plaster,

and something within me opened.

Memories.

Emotion.

Release.

And in that moment…

it felt like both the room and I finally exhaled.

Now, after what became an unplanned full renovation…

this home has transformed.

And today, I welcome you to:

The Sanctuary of the Inner Song

A place where you can exhale too.

When people walk through the door now, I see it immediately—

Their shoulders soften.

Their breath deepens.

Something shifts.

Because healing does not need to happen in sterile spaces.

It can happen:

Barefoot in the kitchen

Laughing by the fire

Walking quietly through the trees

Sitting at the beach with our feet buried in the sand

What Happens Here

At the Sanctuary, we gather in small, intentional retreats.

Not to fix…

But to understand.

We explore your symptoms—

with curiosity, not fear.

We trace patterns.

We begin to see the meaning behind what your body has been expressing.

And we do it together.

There is:

🌿 Nature

🌿 Nourishing food

🌿 Honest conversation

🌿 Laughter

🌿 Space to simply be

Because healing is not meant to happen in isolation.

And somewhere along the way, something shifts.

You begin to feel:

“Ah… I knew this. I just needed to see it clearly.”

A New Way Forward

By the time you leave…

You don’t just understand your body differently.

You understand yourself differently.

So if you’ve been searching—

for peace, for clarity, for a new way forward…

Come to the Adirondacks.

Come to this home.

Come back to yourself.

Because this is not just a retreat.

It is a return.

A Moment of Recognition

For many, there comes a quiet realization…

“This makes more sense than anything I’ve come across before.”“I just wish I had understood this sooner.”

Your Next Step

If you’re feeling a pull toward this work…

there are two gentle ways to explore:

→ A simple space to connect, ask questions, and feel into what’s right for you

→ A deeper exploration of what a personalized retreat could look and feel like for you

No pressure.

Just an open space…

whenever you’re ready.
