🌞 A Lighthearted Definition of “Wake Up”
Ever had one of those moments where someone shares a piece of information and your brain goes,
“Wow, I’ve never thought of it that way before!”
And after that, you can never un-think it?
You’re changed forever. That’s my idea of waking up.
It’s like someone turned on a light bulb in a room you didn’t even realize was dim. Suddenly, you see everything a little differently, and there’s no going back to the old perspective. That’s what a real “wake up” moment is: a gentle but irreversible shift in how you see the world.
Some people wake up through meditation. Some through nature. Some through a whisper from their soul.
And others? They wake up through a shock — a moment that interrupts the world long enough for something deeper to rise to the surface.
There was a moment in my own life where everything I thought I understood about the body… shifted.
A diagnosis entered our world—my partner’s cancer.
And with it came the familiar narrative:
Something is wrong.
The body is failing.
We need to fight.
But in searching for answers, I came across a completely different perspective—Germanic Healing Knowledge.
And it introduced a possibility I had never truly considered:
What if the body isn’t broken?
What if it’s responding… adapting… moving through something meaningful?
There was a moment that changed the way I see life forever.
A moment that could have locked me into fear… but instead opened the door to a completely new understanding.
From fear… to curiosity.
From urgency… to understanding.
From “something is wrong”…
to “the body may be doing exactly what it’s designed to do.”
And that is what led me here.
Recently, millions of people watched a video of Charlie Kirk collapsing on stage. The details are uncertain, debated, and full of theories. But the facts aren’t the point of this blog.
The point is what happened immediately after.
People paused.
People prayed.
People felt their hearts again instead of their anger.
People remembered his constant message about family, faith, and treating the body as a temple.
No matter what “really” happened, one thing was undeniable:
It brought people together.
And that’s what fascinates me — these collective moments of shock that lift millions out of autopilot and into awareness.
It happened during Covid too.
Yes, it was overnight sudden, painful, and chaotic — and for some, it left them spiraling in fear.
But I saw firsthand how it also woke people up.
It made many begin to question, to reflect, and to realize how precious life is… how sacred home and family truly are… and how valuable our intuition is when everything else feels uncertain.
I don’t believe these moments are random — not spiritually, and not collectively. I believe we are all connected, and in our own ways, we’re all trying to wake up together.
When a big event happens... we pause and something inside us remembers.
💡 Why a Single Moment Can Change Everything
From a Germanic Healing Knowledge perspective, the psyche responds instantly to unexpected events. A shock can reorganize a person’s entire awareness in seconds.
And on the collective level?
The same pattern appears.
One sudden moment — a scene, a clip, a collapse — can:
pause someone long enough to truly reflect…
to question… to seek answers within
wake them from numbness and into awareness
reconnect them to their body… and what they feel
spark a deeper sense of spirituality
ignite the instinct to protect what matters most—family
lift them into prayer… or quiet surrender
shift them out of fear… and back into presence
and for some…
awaken a fire—a drive to speak, to act, to create change
These are awakening moments.
Not because of the event itself, but because of the shift inside the heart.
And if a moment like this inspires people to reconnect to family, values, or gratitude…
…then perhaps it wasn’t a tragedy. Perhaps it was a catalyst.
🌱 Turning Shock Into Higher Awareness
Instead of spiraling into fear, gossip, or conspiracy (which believe me this has been a big challenge for me), there is a much higher path:
“What is this moment trying to awaken in me?”
For many, the message was simple:
Take care of your body
Cherish your family
Live with integrity
Put faith above fear
Slow down
Be present
Make your life meaningful
Moments like this shake us awake —not to scare us, but to realign us.
🦃 As We Walk Toward Thanksgiving…

A Moment to Wake Up Together
Here in the United States, we’re just days away from Thanksgiving — my favorite holiday....a holiday that, at its heart, is about family, gratitude, presence, and remembering what matters.
Moments like the one we saw with Charlie, remind us how quickly life can change. They pull us out of our heads and drop us back into our hearts.
Maybe this year, Thanksgiving isn’t just about the meal.
Maybe it’s about:
reaching out to someone you drifted from
softening an old conflict
actually seeing your children
being grateful for whatever food you do have
appreciating your body for what is does do for you
choosing consciousness over chaos
If one moment online can bring millions to pause…imagine what one intentional moment around your table can do~when we all do it... The ripple effect!

🌟 Thanksgiving Wake-Up Challenge
Here’s a simple, powerful invitation:
👉 **Before Thanksgiving, choose ONE person
and tell them what you’re thankful for.**
Just one.
Send a text. Make a call. Write a card. Give a hug. Say it out loud.
This is how we wake people up —through connection, not fear. Through gratitude, not division. Through family, not frenzy.
I’ll also add one gentle note before I close:
When we soften, forgive, reconnect, or resolve tension… sometimes the body does too.
And when the body resolves something emotionally, it may also release something physically.
So if you find yourself “coming down with something” after a big conversation or a heartfelt moment this Thanksgiving…
Just remember:
It might not be sickness.
It might be healing.
Your Next Step
If something in this perspective feels different…
if it’s sparked even the smallest shift in how you see things—
you don’t have to figure it out alone.
There is a space to explore this more deeply.
And for those who feel called to step even further—
The Sanctuary of the Inner Song offers something unique.
A retreat space nestled in the Adirondacks…
where healing is not separated from life—where individuals and families come to rest, reconnect with nature, and be surrounded by others who are beginning to see the body—and life—through a different lens.
No pressure.
Just an environment that supports both understanding… and experience.
If you feel curious to explore what this could look like for you, you’re welcome to schedule a simple 30-minute conversation.
Sometimes, one small step into understanding changes everything.
